Definitely not good. As for ending violence, who knows, I don't see it in my lifetime

Only when people can accept the fact that not everyone is the same and that it is OK to be different.

To add just a bit to my previous statement, I've noticed that some on this very site can't accept that it is OK for folks in the trans community to be different.

This is so disheartening to read. I'm glad you shared this, only because it does bring awareness that although we can live somewhat in peace in our communities, there are those places in the world who still harbor a hatred for anyone whom they feel is different. My heart really goes out to all who suffer the deep fear of losing their life should they ever be discovered.

Violence is as old as Cain and Able and it usually stems from fear. Transpeople inadvertantly challenge the deepest fears and so-called truths of many people, thus the twisted logic becomes, "kill the philosopher, and the philosophy is removed". But once the gauntlet is laid, it can not be retrieved so all transpeople can be killed or imprisoned from the general population but the alternative of a cisgender world, which we present wil haunt everyone who ponder our dilemma. "can there be peope born in a gender their body doesn't represent well?", or "is gender a binary or something more complex?"

Some people find our conundrum too difficult to rationalize, so they act unrationally.

The real test is to see what sentence is handed down to those who did in, assuming that they are caught.

If it was a driver running over a motorcyclist, they would get the max, A ticket if even that. No one cares about motorcyclists, and no one generally cares about the community. It's sad.
