Transition at Work Step 2: Talk to OPM
Well today was another step toward the transition at work. I called and talked to the TG lady that works for OPM that wrote the Guidance. Gosh she was soo encougaging. Appears we US Government civil servants have some good top cover. Learned what I have to do more clearly to start things at my local base.. She advised me to tell me management about 2-3 months before transition so they can work the issues. So guess I shoot for mid-March 2012 & final for June 2012. I will get the ball rolling after 1 Jan & the GCS is complete. Passport is first on my list. Well I will keep this blog updated as I go for others benefit.

Well a short update. Have told all the bosses & they are supportive. Now I have submitted all the paperwork so hope to go final April!!! So ready!!!

Short update, my paperwork has been submitted to the central office to change my records. This will probably take a few weeks but it is the final big step. So slow but closer!
