I’ve noticed that a lot of the really cool bloggers out there like to make Dave Letterman type Top 10 lists. OK, maybe not me, or any of my excellent blogger friends in my b-roll way down to the right, but people do this. Now in the past, it’s always been my firm policy to observe what the cool kids were doing and run in the opposite direction, you know, just to be different. Not that being different was a big chore for me, but whatever. Wouldn’t it be really, really different if I made like a monkey and aped the cool kids? No? So what, I’m doing it anyway. And yes, these are all tongue in cheek before you get all ‘Analytical Annie’ on me.
Without further ado, the Top 10 Reasons Why Middle Age Transition to Womanhood Doesn’t Suck:
And so concludes my latest attempt to witty, whimsical, or simply copy other people who actually are. Fear not my munchkins, I’m sorry to say that I’ll probably be doing this again, as I thought of a bunch more after I already typed ‘10’ and didn’t want to go all the up to the top of the page just to correct.
Comment by Laura Renee Lawrence on June 21, 2012 at 10:54am Michelle, you are so funny! I always read your blogs and seldom comment although you always make me think! Thanks for being you...
ROTFLMAO
Comment by Erin Detty on June 21, 2012 at 5:58pm Your prettier than Dave Letterman and your always entertaining, so that makes your top 10 that much better. Thanks again for putting a smile on my face.
Reading this it makes me feel life is worth living. So its not so bad when we get older.I think I am in the best place, with the best members for support.Thank You.
Comment by HELEN BRADY on June 22, 2012 at 5:19am HOHOHO, Yes you have it right. I'm afraid I may have missed middle age, since I finally realized at 72 I have always been female except in body. No one believes I am 77, either. I actually had a 40+ man hit on me seriously yesterday afternoon. I told him my age, he didn't care.
Comment by Lyndsey Catherine Rush on June 22, 2012 at 7:31am Thank you Michele for writing what has been bugging me since I hit that magic 50 a few back thought life was basically for the younger and that it would be time to transition to a place with nobody around me except older gents who had bad eyesight and would call me lady even if that laser work was not done on my upper lip it can be fun to look younger and actually have a bf who does not want anything except to be fed and hugged and to rub your back in the morning who is older that me. Nothing for me is nicer than a cool t shirt and a pair of snug jeans and that is okay- and comfortable shoes too. I have to change my picture now since my looks are really different and I actually settled down and let it grow even more and now is blond my natural color except the hydrogen peroxide here and there. So being this cool ol hippie gal that loves old school stuff is just fine for me like that car that does start every day so I get up every morning and actually chat with the young ones who do happen to want to know how it was-- back then and my drumming has actually improved with age and I don't even have to use my eyes anymore I just know where they are by now. Ok its time to go back to bed at 4 am and not think about what to wear this time I just know where the stuff is by now and those eyes? at least I have one that works ok and that is fine with me.
Comment by Amanda Stewart on June 22, 2012 at 3:41pm You nailed it lol...
Comment by Menaka Natasha on June 23, 2012 at 1:45am Quite true indeed!

Comment by Rachel King on June 23, 2012 at 6:37am Trust me to find something like this but if I don't get in before Marsha, I will never forgive myself.
Pray tell why you had so much trouble getting past No 1 in your Top 10.
Granted you wrote a No1, ten times so I guess you thought they all warranted a No1 position.
Yeah, that's the answer.
I feel so much better for having worked that out.
Thank you for a wonderful No 1 which I relate to, so many times.
See Marsha, nah, nah, ne-nah, nahhhhhhh........
