"We are One"
This is Important to think about
An event in a person's life with whom I am (hopefully) developing an intimate relationship made me think of this. This is a lesson that took me a goodly potion of my adult life to learn. Took me more pain that I ever want to remember to learn,
Conditional Love is no Love at all. Period. Just because you Love someone doesn't mean that they are your plaything. A doll to be dressed up the way you want to dress her. And vice versa. True Love is Loving the person the way they are, warts and all. Loving the entire, complete package, just the way it was when you found it. I just felt compelled to post this.

This is so true. I have always given unconditional love to those I love, even if it doesn't seem so from them.
I have to add - and the way the package changes with time including gender. I am so fortunate to have a
person like that, no it is two who really love me.

True love consumes the heart...
True love rejects all thinking, and sadly in some cases, all logic..
True love hurts at times, nay, it aches so much such that you wish someone would rip your heart out of your chest and still...
... true love brings smiles, hope, desire, gracious gratitude, partners in accomplishments, and a willingness to let go of having you own needs met so that the person you love's needs are met.
I pray that love finds us all... and even if our love is never returned in ways we hope for, it will soon be evident that love will reach us through new pathways or that it never disappeared when we thought it did.
