Hi Ladies,Paula hereOn the bright side my surgery was a success, hower ouch ouch ouch. The 2 days in the clinic i was heavily sedated for the pain, however at the residence it's tyonoll to the rescue. The worst is the stuffed up feeling by the packing over the vagina, the constipation is another pest. changing your bandages & maxipads and trying to sit or bend becomes a very tedious task, plus my breast implants ache too,I know these aches & sores will abide hoping for relief soon.Still havn't done my sitz baths or dialating yet.But im sure it will be another toughie.I would appreciate any advice from other Post Ops whom had to deal with this.Forget sitting, lying or squatting and standing don't work for me.Kneeling seems to work for me...A Achy Paula

Comment by Nathine Tereana Goldenthal on September 21, 2012 at 11:30pm Senekot is over the counter and a stool softener. That's what they give me post op.
Inflatable neck pillows, not rubber donuts, is what I have heard many post-op gals say works for them...
Fruit that is easy to eat, like apple sauce, help with the constipation...
Congrats and I'm glad that all went well for you! Hey world look out for another successful girl - Paula! <3
Comment by Galina Edwards on September 22, 2012 at 8:19pm Congratulations Paula, now suck it up. As stated in Steel Magnolias, women are tough than men (smarter too).
You pain is probably the difference of one day in the hosptial. My Dr kept me on self medication of morphine for three days. I was good.
Drink the juices, protien drinks, and whatever will go down easily. I did have a problem with gas in the intestines. I could not take the pressure any longer and the nurse gave me a shot for that.
Congrats Again, you will be O.k. Galina
Comment by Janell Elynn Smith on September 23, 2012 at 1:18pm When I was in the Marine Corps back in the 60's, I heard the female Drill Instructors say some things to the new female recruits I never thought of saying to my male friends. But needless to say, you are a strong woman and you are on the downhill side.---Blessings, Elynn
