You have got to try everything on to see if it fits or not, plus you might get home and decide you don't like it, this happens to me. It is fun though:)

Interesting, my shoe size is the same as the male size. Generally the best place to try clothing is at a thrift store such as savers, or goodwill. No one cares about the dressing rooms, and some very good clothing from some major stores can be purchased cheap. You can figure out your size from there. You size may be different depending on the manufacturer. I'm a size 6 - 8 dress, size 4 -6 jeans and skirt. Size 8 - 10 top, and some styles I can't get over my head regardless of the size. lol. Shoe size ranges between 8.5 - 9.5, Bra is a C, but depends on the brand. May vary from a 34 C, to a 36 C.

Goodwill is where I learned about sizes and what I liked, affordable too. I could buy something there and if I didn't like it my daughter would usually end up with it or if not I wouldn't be out much.

Payless has shoes for those of with big hearts and therefore, need big feet to help us spread the love...

Amazon has size charts that can help if you have a measuring tape and it is a good place to start to get a rough idea of your sizes.  And guess what, one manufacturer's size 2 isn't the same size as another's size 2...  Wish I could say I knew that from personal experience but I can't. I have to add another digit in front of that 2. For pants it used to be a 1 and for dresses it could be a 2, though for some I look good in 18's...

3 years later and I am still learning.  I'm betting everyone learns faster than me, so it may not take you long to exceed me...

Karen, there are several online sites such as victoria secrets that tells you how to measure for a bra.  As a general rule if you wear size 9 shoes the womens size will be 11.  The other side of that is womens feets are generally narrower.  But there are big women out there and wide widths are available.  Safe the achs and pains of da feet and get the wide ones. The two piece cothing you are wearing is great for hidding the no waist.  As your waist adjusts your clothing tasts will change too.  LOL, my mom calls me her slutty daughter. Hey, I am the fun daughter.

Hugs, Galins

yeah goodwill is going to be my shopping mall I think.  Plus I am losing weight and hopefully some muscle mass is going to diminish as well.  I don't want to spend a lot on clothes which I won't be able to wear in three months and money is going to be tight  anyhow.  Just something else I have to deal with along with movement, voice ect ect ect.  It seems like so much that I just want to put on sweats and a ball cap and call it good. ;)  Onward we go.  I plan on attending a church service tomorrow  at a local accepting venue.  I haven't been to church in 18 years except to attend a wedding or funeral.  Being from the south my views of what it is to attend church are hellfire and brimstone thus accepting myself as trans has been seen through whatever religious trappings have held in my life over the years.  I thought I knew and understood god and the bible and knew Jesus too.  I later believed I was full of shite and so was the church.  I kind of still do.  A good southern baptist would say i never met god.  A person from my once chosen faith of the assemblies of god would say that I am demon posessed and in need of deliverance.  I still can never believe that someone else will go to hell because they don't believe what I do .  Nope that is total crap.  Understanding religious belief systems came to me this way.  You know where your home is right?  I mean you live there and no matter where you travel to in the world you can find your way home.  There are many streets you could take besides the most direct route to get home from work.  You might want a more scenic leisurely drive than a fast paced rush down the freeway.  If you know how to get home you will get there.  There are a myriad of different routes you could possibly take and ways to travel those paths that don't involve being in a car at all.  You get me?  I don't believe that anyone should HAVE to follow this or that path they should be able to choose and so it is.  Karen

You'll lose muscle mass for sure and I know what you mean about the sweats and a ball cap, you 'll get there and than you will look back and go, Wow, a year has gone by and look at me!
Relax it will come to you, it all starts inside. Your a woman and you will find yourself doing all that you speak of without thinking, it takes time like anything else. Always be honest with yourself and love yourself as you would anyone else.
I don't need their Grumpy God I have my own loving, excepting one that gave me my own purpose, Thank you very much.

As I read some of this not-so-silly-girl stuff, it brings back the fearful times of  old transition in my life. Two rules of thumb: 1) Never wear somebodies old shoes. 2) Never, ever wear somebody else's used undies. Oh, and the typical men's shoe size is 1-1 1/2 shoe sizes smaller than a woman's.
