Sea air and growing into myself
Took the boat out for a days fishing today.
It was a tad windy and choppy waters don't make for good fishing but to get sea air in my lungs, after a couple of weeks on dry land( well dry on the outside, maybe not so dry on the inside, hahaha) was wonderful.
The only thing missing was my Mai, oh and the fish.
I stayed in Nichol Bay in about 10 metres(30 feet) of water,out of Karratha, if anyone wants to take the trouble to look it up. It's very tidal, as in 3-4 metres rise and fall, so you need to watch the time or you will get stranded on the mudflats and a looooong wait for the tide to come back in to get your boat back on the trailer.
So I am meandering back into the boat ramp and I had a thought( I know, that's dangerous) that I so love being on the sea( as opposed to under it, which I don't, we have some big noah's arks( that's sharks) and I must have been a sailor in a past life, or maybe a mermaid, nah, or perhaps a dolphin, hmmm, too graceful, sigh, probably a swordfish.
I tend to like a bit of jousting, occasionally.
The other reason i love being on the boat, is when I was transitioning, i could wear a bikini( stop sniggering) and let my imagination be what it wanted to be.
It was wonderful, dream-like really.
Today, I put the boat in the water in a bikini, no embarrassment and I wear a dress, shorts or a sarong and feel naturally comfortable.
How it has changed in 6 years.
My Mai returns in 4 weeks, of which I am over the moon about. She also loves fishing so the boat will get plenty of use.
Oops, time to shower, slip into something sexy and meet a girlfriend at the local, which has a pretty fair sort of a meal at its restaurant, not to mention the pool tables where we can play doubles and kick some male butt, while fending off propositions.
Life's tough but somebody's got to do it.

Rachel, looks like you and I are in the same boat... though I haven't tried a bikini yet...
And women playing with tsicks and balls does get the boys all bothered, doesn't it? Enjoy the propositions while you are waiting for your sweetie,

Or maybe Erin, I was the parrot, I tend to squawk a fair bit, hahahaha.
I'm obviously better at pool than I am fishing, Mandy and I never lost a doubles game till 11pm. Time to leave about then, all the youngies were getting off their face, loud and a tad aggressive.
Always time to go then, I don't put myself in danger.
It was fun deflating so many male ego's though.
