Saddness and loss

I am at a loss for words at the moment so will only include the Email I received just minutes ago. Barb,who is know here as BJY and Rory were our first contact in my quest to end the gender confusion in my life.  Those of you who knew Rory know the loss the the T community in the Pacific Northwest.

Hello Everyone,

I give a very sad message today that yesterday morning we lost Rory Gould
to his battle with cancer.

Rory Gould has been the President and driving force behind Washington
Gender Alliance for many years. His passion to be a voice for a community
that always needs more voices and his drive to provide information and to
keep places open for anyone to come and share what was on their mind.

Rory never quit and fought for every moment that he had. He demonstrated
what living for life was about.

The Washington Gender Alliance meetings will not stop. Our 820th Tuesday
night meeting in Bellingham at 7:30 PM and our 516th Wednesday night
meeting in Everett at 7:30 PM will continue. As Rory would say,
"Consecutive means just that. Whether it is snow, rain, holiday or
whichever. We will be there." So, we will be there.

Barb, Rory's partner and Founder of the Washington Gender Alliance, wanted
me to pass on the information that there will not be a formal funeral.
However, in the coming weeks she will be opening her house for people to
come by and share and to visit. I will pass this information along later
as we have more details.

I would like to offer thanks to everyone that has offered and given
support over the past year. It has meant the world to us, and we are
grateful to be able to continue the passion of a man that reached out and
touched so many lives.
