Kira - You made the decision, opened the bottle and let the genie out.  Now......you have to be strong and deal with the circumstances you have.  If you knew your family might react this way then there is no surprise.  Your choices are to let them get to you or NOT let them.  That includes your mother-in-law.

As far as her hitting you, that is assault and you had/have every reason to file a complaint.  As to the rest of it I say this to you:  if you remove yourself from their environment then they can only hate you from a distance.  Don't engage them and don't let them engage you.  If they don't get it, can't get it, refuse to get it..........that's THEIR problem.  All you can do is to keep your own family together, love one another and move forward with your plans as you can.

You do have some cause of action for the police. That might be a good first step.

i fear for kids that she teaches and drives to dekalb co schools as well one day there may be a trans studant whats she gonna do to them should i tell the school board when it comes back in session

I'm with Dal, 100%.

Who's the teacher?, we're not mind-readers, more is better when you write a blog.

If it's 50 lines long, at least we'll get a truer picture than the limited amount we now have.

A blog is not a text message.

Abbreviations suck and leave the reader out in the cold, so please expand.

And whoever the teacher is, NO ! Do NOT approach the school board because you will get dragged through the mud, good and proper.

That is a certainty, I reckon.
