Music to Vent By

Coming home from a long day at work today one of my favorite rant songs came on, "I Want you to Know" by Alanis Morisette. So I cranked up the volume and started singing along with Alanis, which is pretty safe considering she sings like a female Bob Dylan allowing anyone singing along sound about as good as she does. I mean don't get me wrong, I love Alanis, but she doesn't have the pipes of K.D. Lang by a long shot. Anyway, there was an SUV behind me driven by a woman with her female friend and I could see by the smirky expression she had while chatting with her companion she either: A. thought I was an awful singer or B. was amused that I was probably a jilted woman, like the one Alanis sings about in first person. Well, I am not jilted but I sing loud and angry for all my sisters who have been thrown overboard.

"Before He Cheats"- Carrie Underwood. I know this one verbatim. I mean one must love how she trashes this creep's SUV

"I Will Survive"- Gloria Gaynor. Not only a good "dis that jerk of a guy" song, but also just a good song about surviving

"Sisters are Doing for Themselves"- Annie Lennox. The title is the summary of this feel good "Up with women"song
