hey gang , I went today for a free consultation for laser hair removal, and I thought I would share what the prices are like up hear in Calgary Alberta Canada . The prices I was quoted was for arms , face & chest and back.
face and full arms 250.00
full chest and face 350.00
full back and neck upto my hair line 400.00
per each treatment. if done seperate the cost is
full face 145.00
full arms 165.00
chest 200.00
back and neck 200.00
So I don't know , is this too much ? I know Electrolis is more or less the only thing pretty much that is a perm hair removal for certain areas but , I want to do the laser route first .
If you havelight skin and dark hair, laser is terrific in reducing the amount of hair on one's body. Given that I have blonde and silver hair by nature, laser is useless to me so I can't comment on the prices.
Comment by Danica Athena on August 4, 2012 at 8:33pm Hi Caroline , I a, actually a medium to lighter skin tone and with dark hair . I did forget to add as well that she did say due to my over all coloring I am a perfect candidate. I also came out and explained why I am wanting to do so and her expresion glowed off her , she looked at me and went this will help you feel closer to your completion as well and I can not wait to see the completely new you ! Oh and way to go !
Comment by Erin Melissa (Lyssa) Gentry on August 5, 2012 at 10:03am Hi Danica. I'm in mid process of using electrolysis for my face and back, with chest area to follow up with later. I am about 1/2 done with each, and I'm over $4000 into this so far, so your costs seem like a huge bargain to me. Not to mention the 2 two hour sessions every week, going on 10 months now. I have at last another year, and likely 3-5 thousand more for myself to complete just those 2 areas. The trade off is, as you noted, its permenant, and that was my priority. Caroline, I've just heard of a new laser process that also works on white or lite blond hair, called "ELOS". Google ELOS hair removal to see about it. It looks promising, but I have yet to talk to anyone who has experience with it. We have one place in our region that has it so far, about an hour from me and I'm tempted to go try it. Will update if I do. Good luck with whatever you choose Danica! hugs, Lyssa
Comment by Natalia Vega on August 5, 2012 at 1:36pm I don't know if that's considered expensive but I would gladly pay $350 if it would permanently remove the hair from my face and chest. I would also pay it even if it wasn't permanent if had the disposable income, which I don't. Is electrolysis much more expensive?

Comment by Jessie Lynn Esme on August 5, 2012 at 3:59pm That is cheap it costs 350 for face where I am at though I do not have much facial hair at all and after the first two sessions it is now just basically lip and chin and she now charges 240 legs are about 400 for full upper and lower then another 200 for chest and I do not have much hair!
Wow! That is huge compared to here in Virginia! Here it is $125.00 for the face in Charlottesville and commonly $75.00 for the face in areas outside of Charlottesville. Considering the exchange rate is about nil anymore, I dont understand why it is so high in your part of Canada
Comment by Danica Athena on August 5, 2012 at 10:02pm Sherri , I honestly do not get it as well, I have checked out a few other places as well and these are the cheapest I have found. Natalia , I would love to do electrolysis as well , and the worst of it is laser is not permanent.
Comment by Erin Detty on August 6, 2012 at 1:47pm That's a great deal, I would take them up on it, do you know others that have been to see them, if so than they can tell you if its as good as it sounds or not, I have over the last two years payed a lot more than that:)
Comment by Erin Detty on August 7, 2012 at 9:17pm The lazier will get rid of the dark hair, it has for me. I still get some but you have to remember there is thousands and thousands of hairs on your face that grow in stages, it took many treatments to get rid of, I'm still getting electrolysis, by the end of the year I will for the most part be done, I will I'm sure like so many other girls do, will go back from time to time for a touch up. It is so worth it. I've had my face, arms, back and chest done and the longer you are on HRT the less hair you will have anyway, what hair you will have is finer. I'm lucky to have someone that dose it for very cheep.
Comment by Galina Edwards on August 8, 2012 at 11:41pm Hi Danica, I am a trained electrolysis tech and yes you have to use that method for the white/light grey hairs. Lasers have come a long ways and they are more effective for darker hairs. Plus you get more hair per shot. It is recommended to wait 4 to 6 weeks between treatments because of the regrowth cycle.
If you have the groupon, living social, etc deals you can get deals. I just bought 4 treatments for under arms for 49.00 and 6 treatments for my inner thighs (where I put testosterone cream - yelp regrowing black after fertilizing) for 98.00. These are San Antonio prices.
LOL, there are just some places I cannot reach on my self.
