"We are One"

Tonight I went to see a viewing of "Trans" the movie.  What a great film.  It brought back memories that I had buried for so long.

I got to meet some for the people that were feature in the movie.  It was an a great discussion about parents who have transgender children.  Is made me think about how would have been if I came out at the age of 7.

Would my parents have been as supportive as they are now?  I would hope so.  Why are we seeing an increase in the number of young children able to transition so young.  What do they have that we did not?  The Internet.

I did not know what I was called until my dad transitioned.  One of the first questions I asked was "Is it hereditary?"  Looked it up in the library and found nothing.  It was not until recently (the last year) that I learned more about what I was.

So what would our lives been like if we had the Internet when we were kids?

So Ashley, is it hereditary?  Hugs, Jennifer
