Found a Good Article online
I found an article which in my opinion gives a good viewpoint on signifigant others and transition and how to deal with it. i thought I would share a link to it here. http://www.firelily.com/gender/resources/spouse.support.html It gives a pretty good synopsis of some of the issues which spouses deal with and a few possible options for handling those situations. I find the article helpful and I hope you will as well. K

Thanks for sharing. I came out to my darling bride of 22 years in July. I have to say we are realistic, but she is amazing. Most of the stories don't have happy endings, so we are writing our own. We are best friends, and if something happens we at least have that. She is helping me...sometimes pulling me from the cocoon when I hesitate. She knows what I want without me saying and pulls me in the right direction.

Could have used this when I had come out to my ex all those many years ago. May or may not have helped but it sure would have felt good to have had some resources to fall back on.
