Dan Fogelburg A Great Musician Of His Time by Paula P

Hi Ladies, It seems since my transitioning began nearly 5 years ago,i more or less have shut myself out of the world around me,not really paying attention to who and what was happening.I was on the web looking up great recording acts of the 1980s and had stumbled upon the link of Dan Fogelburg,he was always one of my favorite singers of the 1980's ,i even caught him in concert back in 1983,he put on a great show.Well as I approached the website i was saddened deeply by reading of his passing.The odd thing was he died nearly 5 years ago.WOW! nobody ever told me.I was in the dark.I knew he was ill and had cancer too,he died on December 16,2007. Fogelburg's career was spectacular.Growing up in the 80's Fogelburg was a staple for the Smooth Rock or Mellow Rock Sound.He was second to none.I also always found him a very attractive man,and a really nice guy too.His carrier began to flourish in 1978 with his first top 40 Hit The Power Of Gold, 2 years later he topped the charts with his most popular song ever LONGER ,my personal favorite of his songs,In 1981 he hit the charts 2 more times with Another Old Lang Sine and Hard To Say both top 10 blockbusters,and in 1982 another # 1 with THE LEADER OF THE BAND. In 1983 he had 2 top 20 hits which did well, Make love Stay and Missing You.Dan I thank you for your great music and being a super nice guy.
