"We are One"

Well as of the 8 of Aug it will be a month since beginning on hrt. So far the journey has been awesome but at the same time a time of conremplations , so far I have experienced the start of softer skin , and it seems as though my receding hairline has stopped and has even filled in more is this possible? my chest is certainly sore but I personally do not see much difference yet , the biggest change I have noticed though is my down stairs plumbing . It was almost instant I started not having many erections to the point that I well don't anymore which does suck as my wife still needs to be pleased as well but as she said , I get to start to explore the world of toys. Another side effect for me has been a yeast infection. If you have not had one count yourself lucky cause wow does it HURT n BURN .

Like most of us from what I have read I am sort of at the point of should I carry on or should I stop!

Danica - Only you can really determine whether to go forward or stop.  Are you and your SO discussing this on an on-going basis?  Do you think that you have enough support to sustain yourself?  Have you calculated any loss factor yet?  What do YOU think you should do?

Thhes kinds of questions run through your head over and over as you move forward; unless the answers change or unless you become terrified of the path ahead..........good luck!

For years I had a yeast infection every summer on my chest in the middle. (I mean like from when I was 18 to 50)

No doctor ever diagnosed it as such. I finally figured it out myself. Using an alcohol wash daily over the area where it tends to be, has prevented anything for several years now.

The downstairs plumbing certainly must suck (no pun intended) for anyone with a wife. I was frankly very glad to get rid of any and all feeling down there that was spontaneous.

From everything others write, if you stop now, it will just result in more grief later. Transition is a runaway freight train and it just can't be stopped.

Daralyn , IT is something I have brought up before certainly however there is no doubt in myself that this is what I want, but you must agree that once you actually see what these medications can do is a surprise and a huge shock that makes anyone go HOLY CRAP and start to consider everything. I am continuing no matter what . Helen , my yeast infection is not their like yours , mine is um...... ya down on my plumbing ! and well not being circumsied ya I think you get the unbearable burning sensation I have, you know how on meat you get that silver skin ya I am that shiny if I pull back the skin to apply the cream from the DR, I almost crack n bleed even ! but I have been told by the dr as well to do it all in small steps and it will ge away. Michelle , thanks for the pointers as well love .

Babysteps that is the key babysteps and all shall be fine .

That's up to you if you go on or not, I personal can't imagine going back in any way shape nor form, if sex is what is making you think twice than HRT isn't going to be good for an erection, it took longer than a month for that to happen for me, It sounds like your progressing well and I wish you well.

I don't think anyone is trying to you to stop just concerned with what you wrote, that's all I see.

I would say too the hormones seem to be working real good, we have all been there:) Happy for you.
