For many of us Transgender women and men there are many that believe they where placed in the wrong body and that is a mistake God made.
I just believe that is how you find your reasoning to your problem since nothing else makes sense. Well ladies and Gents I am here to say that God does not make mistakes and your not a living mistake either. God is perfect and we are not...So the notion that God made an error in you is incorrect. Now if you choose not to believe here it's because you either do not believe in the Living God or you just refuse to except the truth...Neverless your heart is not in the right place and you have felt angry in your life because of it.
For those of us who do believe in God and are still confused about your GID I would like to share with my reasoning in this matter and see if it helps you to have peace.
First of all I believe down deep in the core of our souls their lays no gender, we are gender neutral and I believe spiritually we are like the angels in heave who have no gender. For what purpose does the soul have need of a sex…It is completely a physical body thing. The physical body we reside in was chosen by God and our choice was not entered. But we as all made inGod's image: Genesis 1:27…(NIV)So God created man inhis own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he createdthem. and have a God given right to make good and bad decisions that God will never intervenebecause we are not robots.
Therefore we can choose what sex to be and many of us are in this period in time where we can make those physical changes. This is why I believe God placed us here at the end of time to be who we want to be, otherwise any other time if we were born and placed in history we would have suffered greatly by death or serious torture
I feel that God has given me the wisdom to understand this and share with everyone here...God does love you a transgendered person just as much as everyone else in this world and I believe that being a transgender is not a curse but a blessing.
I welcome all comments in this matter from everyone, Please be kind and considerate in your comments...I'd like to discuss these things in peace.... thank you.

Comment by Marsha M. Marsha on January 5, 2011 at 11:04pm Michelle, I am a Christian and have been for many years but I have never blamed God for anything let alone my gender identity however I do believe there are people, and I am one of them, where the person's innate gender does not agree with one's assigned gender at birth. I call it a birth defect of the mind and from my vantage point, I don't consider the transition to living as my true self a real choice.
I would also like to advise you take faith discussions to the FAITH group for discussion as that would be the proper place for this type of discourse. If you do not belong to FAITH, please join us there. This is, afterall, a secular site and we try to honour everyone in this trans community, and seeing that some are agnostic or claim to be atheist, I try to leave faith discussion in the FAITH room.
I do appreciate your views and am gald you are among our wonderful people here at Pink Essence.
Hugs,
Marsha
Comment by Michelle Charlene Young on January 6, 2011 at 2:10am Well Marsha,
I do believe this issue could be but not limitedto the faith room and I have asked about the moderators last night in an emailabout joining that group and what I needed to be accepted by the group. I did NOT see it in the “General Rules” that discussion about God is to in the faith room only because this forum is secular. I do not believe being transgender is being worldly either more just the opposite-Godly.
I also see discussions there about other beliefs and religions as well. I'm sorry to see that you personally feel discussing things about God and Christianity as not being an open and public subject and should be discussed only in private places due to the fact of possibly offending someone who is agnostic or atheistic. I wonder how God would feel about His matters being only mentioned in secret or private.
I know this issue has come up many times intransgenders topics and forms in the past and therefore this is why I chose to address it here in the community and post it on my web page blog.
This is not intended to create an argument but an understanding that God is not one to be blamed for the wrong we experiencein our lives, if you are saying that a birth defect of the mind is what we are born with then it’s a mind thing like mental retardation. . I don’t agree with that at all…the mind’sf unction is made for reasoning and decision making and thought processes whereas the heart and soul is and things like emotion, desire, pain, and love are felt. I always felt different in myheart and my mind has always told me that I am not gay I’m straight.
I am not here to push religious views on anyoneand if someone is agnostic or atheistic then I would assume they would disregard the opinion anyway and stick to their view that God is to blame for their problems in life.
So Sister if what I’m saying to you here is hard for you to digest I’m hoping you will realize I’m saying these things with love and not in the spirit of arrogance. If you say you are in Christian woman then I am a Sister of yours in the faith and hope we can reason these things together in love.
Hugs…and God Bless!
Michelle

Comment by Michelle Charlene Young on January 6, 2011 at 5:09am Well friend I'm sorry you feel about things that way and by your comments you were reading between the lines and totally missed the boat. . I will agree with you in the respect that most churches believe that being Gay, Lesbian, Bi, or TG iswrong and some religious fanatics practice hatred in the name of God and theyhave been practicing that garbage for a very long time. Are they all that way?NO And I'm trans and I go to semi-conservative mainstream churches and I don't let anyone push that garbage on me but I know better. Am I a bigot??? I think not...I don’t judge people…I realize religious fanatics are pushing theirown agendas all over the world and trans people should not be afraid of the churches bigotry. Things have to change and they only will get better when the GLBT community realizes that Gods plan for salvation is for everyone including transgender folk. So please friend don't associate ME as being a religious crony because I see through all that garbage. If you don't believe in God then fine but just move on don't knock those who do...that is stereotyping and that is also a form of Bigotry. I realize that your view is obviously atheistic and if you don’t like what I say then just pass on by friend and keep negative comments to yourself. This information is for those who do believe in God.
Oh..and please don’t inject your comments in the middle of my sentences and don’t twistmy words…

Then again, perhaps you don't, unless they reflect your own form of zealousness.
There is nothing wrong with belief, there IS something wrong with shoving it down anothers throat.
Muslims do exactly the same thing, in exactly the same way.
Bird's of a feather.......

Comment by Rachel King on January 6, 2011 at 6:14pm I had never thought of religionists as being in the "Brown Shirt" mould Joanne but you are quite right.
They get in everyone's face and spout there bigoted message and for those who don't adhere to their brand of thinking, they ostracise them.
For those, like you and me, who are variant to their way of thinking, regular victimisation is common, beatings, rapes and murders are committed in the name of, and still the right wing spout their message of hatred.
They should be proud, proud that they have continued the pitiful ways that clouded the 1930's, proud that America is at the forefront of discrimination, proud that their message of hate is heard around the world.
And ashamed that the world holds America in contempt for being so two-faced in telling the world how to behave and behaving so shamefully themselves.

Comment by Robin Raianiemi on January 9, 2011 at 10:02am Well, first of all, I'm an atheist. I see utterly no good reason to believe in a deity (or deities), or any other thing in the supernatural realm. No one knows what created the universe. One can believe that the Judeo-Christian god, or Odin, or the Flying Spaghetti Monster created everything, but that's different from knowing that. Belief is not knowledge, and it's folly to make up an answer out of whole cloth.
It's the exact same thing with the transgender condition (or the condition of being gay, lesbian, or bisexual, for that matter). The notions that "God made a mistake" and "God put me on this path for a reason", are exactly the same thing.
We don't know why we're transgender. But we don't have to come up with some explanation or rationalization to explain it. It is what it is. And we need to accept it.
I'm transgender. I just am. And I don't give a damn why. And neither should any other GLBT person.
