ENDA (Employment Non-'Discrimination Act) will be reintroduced in the U.S. House of Representative later this month. In 2007 "gender identity" was included in the original version but later removed into a separate bill.
Representative Barney Frank has emphasized that EDUCATING members of Congress is the key to getting "gender identity" included in the bill. "Efforts to include transgender have failed in New York, Massachusetts and Maryland" and "It doesn't get much easier when you throw in South Carolina and Utah" he said.
