Julia- You are far too kind; I'm humbled.. All I accomplished was being proud of myself, addressing it upfront before the rumors could begin, and letting my personality and skills bridge whatever gap their may have been. Bringing game and confidence helps as well- Girls, be proud, be vocal, don't be timid.. I'm no where close to my final package; my voice is not what I want, still need to work on some FFS things- it doesn't matter.. Step up and take part in everything- too many of us just try to blend and not draw attention that would cause angst.
Enjoy what time we have on this earth. break the shell, be proud.

I know what that feeling is like to apply for a position and be hired for it as your true self.
There is no other feeling quite like it.
I've had three jobs where I have done so thus far since transitioning in 2006.
It all boils down to self love, self respect and a refusal to give in Ashleigh.
The first time I saw my name plate on the outside of my cube I had to excuse myself and go into the bathroom and cry.
To others; Never allow the world to control and manipulate you. Your stronger than you believe you are.
Very few heed the call of transition but for those that do, it is a chance at life like you have never known it to be.
Never be satisfied with where you are concerning being you.
There is more to do than you have hours in the day at the beginning. Don't give up.
Like Ashleigh said, Enjoy the time you have on this earth, break the shell, be proud.
Thhat's the spirit, Ashleigh! This is truly a go-forward kind of thing, and at some point I think we finally cross a line where we don't dwell on our gender identity and just go forth to 'be'. That's a great day (when you realize you passed that threshhold).
