Wow , I can hardly believe it is already 3 months I have been officially on hrt ! On Oct 30 I have my check up and I am excited to see what is in store . I have noticed some changes for sure which I am pleased to have seen . One of the other things that has been getting irritating as of late for me is hearing SIR , 1 you can tell from what I am wearing it's not male clothes 2 you can tell I have a chest , 3 my hair is not the best yet so I wear a wig everywhere yet I get can I help you sir EVEN BEFORE I speak.
Any ways 3 months have past WOOHOO !
Comment by Julia Giannopoulos on October 25, 2012 at 7:27pm It's perfectly normal to be "sir'd " this early and it's perfectly normal to be pissy about it.
Remember in HRT time you have been on it for about a day.
Let's revisit this topic for you in a few years when HRT has actually had some time to really do some work on you.
I undertand that 3 months is a milestone and for that a big congratulations Danica.
Comment by Tammy Matthews on October 25, 2012 at 9:24pm It will get better. I have not yet made it to 6 months but I think getting your own hair longer and using it will help and facial hair removal is key also. You Will get there though!
How you walk, how you stand, how you hold your hands all tell a story, too. Men occupy space, lean froward when walking, arms are way away from their bodies. Feminine women keep elbows at their sides, stand so that their shoulders are back, head erect, and their head if farther behind their bodies. They keep their knees together, take smaller strides, and definitely occupy less space. See Danae Doyle's videos on how to walk, sit, stand or do other things like a woman does... Buy them because they are worth every penney.
Comment by Erin Detty on October 25, 2012 at 10:47pm That happen a lot to me at first too, as time goes on it gets better, everything seems to just take time.
Julia's right, Danica. We get into such a 'hurry up and wait' mode that we wonder why everyone else doesn't automatically get it. Be patient, work on your presentation; Caroline is dead-on about the finer detaipls; and before you know it, that 'sir' thig will be down to less than 50% of the time.
