1st Trip to Therapist
I hope to discover the true nature of the me that is Sharon, not the person I have lived my life as in order to fulfill the expectations of the rest of the world. Just the thought of this has made the past week much more relaxing despite what was a rather stressful week at work.
I have no illusions of an immediate transformation, just a need to discover my true self and take things from there.
Thanks to all of you who have shared your thoughts and journey's on so many of the forums out there. I recognize the same stories and elements echoing in my own history. While I am not certain where my journey will lead those echoes let me know that I am on the right path.

Hi Sharon,
I just know it will go well. Be sure to be honest with the therapist. Tell him r her how you feel, what you hope to do about it and have a plan in mind as to how to go about it. Then the therapist can spend their time helping you achieve your goals rather than trying to understand what you want and trying todecide if you know yourself.

Congratulations on being able to take that first step. It was the hardest step for me to take, it does get easier although that doesn't mean easy, just not as hard. You have many friends here who have been there or are going through this and that are ready to share their experience with you and to help and cheer you on. I wish for your the happines!
