A wanted to share a quick article about a former student of mine and his first steps into pursuing transition. I taught him in my drumline, and suspected he was transgender for a couple of years. He excelled in the activity and I simply treated him as one of the guys. I'm really proud he is making the tough decisions in life with poise.

It has been a very long time since I have blogged, I've tried a few times but it always felt like so much had happen and gone by that documenting it all was just too daunting... I won't try. I really just need the cathartic release of getting my feelings written out and organized again, hopefully some things will resonate with others.
I am now finally coming out of a long span of perhaps the most severe depression of my life. At the worst of it I found myself contemplating…

Hi Kayci!
I wanted to drop by and see how you're doing. It seems we're having the same kind of conflicting emotions and feelings - so I wanted to let you know that if you need an ally and someone who understands, I'd love to have a nice chat (several even! :). It would help a confused me as well :).
Hugs,
Em
Happy Birthday Kayci!
So many wonderful photographs!
Yet your male and female sides are
in a dead-heat? It sure looks like
you are you in your photographs,
but I guess I'd need to to see some
of your male ones to be really sure.
I'm ambi-gendered (bi-gendered) too.
Lots of fun. (:-D)
... Oh, I just read your Afraid of the future
blog; so the female side won, but there
is some doubt. My, 47 comments!
Well, I've got my week-end reading
cut out for me! (:-D)
Here's wishing that Kayci
gets lots of quality PINK TIME
out and about with her PINK SISTERS
during this solar revolution!
***HUGS***,
Juli
Happy birthday young lady. Hope you enjoyed a wonder filled day.
Happy Birthday!!!
I read your latest blog post "Afraid of the future" and I have absolutely been there. I had(have) a lot of the same doubts and fears. Even though I know it's going to be tough and I'll have a road of hell to go through as time goes on, I feel that you only live once and you need to live your life in a way that will make you most happy.
I fear everything because of the position I've put myself in with my life. I am a musician in more than one band and perform in public on a regular basis in the public spot light in a sense. I also have my own business doing computer repairs and website design. Meeting with clients (current and new) is part of my job. The biggest fear I carry is that my decision to transition will eventually destroy numerous business relationships and friendships. It's been about a month and a week since I've started HRT and it's going slow for sure. I have no idea where things are heading in the future other than just continuing on with the transition no matter what.
Take care.
Jess
Hugz,
Lyndsay
It is definitely rewarding to keep track of all your measurements to see how much you change!
I hope things are going better for you. I'd love to come down to the Cape sometime and get together!
Hugs,
Wendy
