- Over time, I seem to be shifting more to the TG (and, possibly, TS) position in the spectrum. I used to consider myself strictly as a crossdresser but I've come to the realization that, inwardly, I've always felt like a woman. I don't really know where I'm heading but I lack the desperation to forsake all that I've known as a man to have SRS or HRT. I love to share with my sisters and am very open to corresponding. Not into chatting, though, because it's too time-consuming the way I type.

Just wanted to add an endorsement of Dr. Sherman Leis whom I got to know well at First Event. He's a very caring human being who goes way out of his way for his patients.

Hello Abby!
Yes my wife is completely on my side, all of my family has been told and they are also fully supportive of me. I continue to move forward with incredible happiness. My wife and I plan to write a blogs. One from her perspective and one from my own. It is our hope that when we share our story maybe more and more families with a transsexual member will choose to say screw societies stereo types and remain together. The road has been long, incredibly nerve racking and worrisome.
I did not know if I would be able to keep my family but I chose on purpose to go slow and let them get to know the real me and it has worked out beautifully. We are only waiting now for my oldest son to talk to his wifes side of the family before we are fully OUT to all of our friends and relatives. Then comes the biggest hurdle we ALL face, telling my employer. I have built a solid relationship with them and I have had their support and guidenece in trying to get a f full time position with the company. The only cog in the wheel is they have not been told I am a transsexual. I do wear womens clothes although more gender neutral, my finger nails are much longer and well manicured with clear polish and that is more than would be expected from a male, I speak femininely and have waxed thin and high brows and some times miss removing some mascara and eyeliner on my eyes on purpose. So I am not entirely hiding it from them but just haven't come out to them. I am hopeful that it will also work out as well. If it does not, I am fully prepared and educated enough to open my own business and survive that way.
We will just have to see.. Thank you for the friendship!
