A New Hope......

Hey Everyone!

Wow, it has been a long time since I last wrote in my blog. Looking back, I have always used my blog as a way of working through my issues and sharing what I have learned with others. My life seemed to be rolling along well so I stopped writing for the past 2+ years. Well my life kinda fell off the track a few months ago, and as I work to rebuild it…I find writing and sharing to be a good outlet for my feelings and experiences……along those lines I want to share with you…

Progress........

Hey everyone!

After reflecting on SCC I realized that my experience this year was unlike any other I have encountered in my 8 conferences. Now, I don’t want to offend anyone with this blog, it is just a result of my observations (in particular from SCC, but it also applies equally to our community as a whole) over the last 8-9 years. I can sum it up in one word….progress!

Each year I am amazed at the great people that I meet in our community as well as at conferences. The first…

Hey Everyone!

After I started counseling a year ago I found some amazing changes taking place in my outlook on life. I highly recommend counseling if you are lucky enough to find a gifted counselor who will do more then just listen. Mine is a one who continually challenges me and I find that refreshing as well as being quite helpful. I finally decided to go to counseling to straighten out my feelings about how I am living my life while being TG.

Hey Everyone!

I started counseling a many months back and to date it has been simply amazing. I highly recommend it if you are lucky enough to find a gifted counselor who will do more then just listen. Mine is a one who continually challenges me and I find that refreshing as well as being quite helpful. I decided to go to counseling to straighten out my feelings about how I am living my life while being TG.

I don't know if you have retired from the AF, I have, but am wondering how changing my name and legal gender will affect retirement pay etc? I do know the DOD won't change the DD-214. Thoughts?

C-9 out of Scott, then C-5 out of Dover and then Warner Robins. I spent about 11 years in flight test flying the C-5, and then finished off may career at the pentagon.

The squadron I flew test in also flew C-130s, C-141s and F-15s. We all flew all the variants of the MWS that we were qualified in, so the Eagle guys flew A models thru S models and the Herc crowd flew E models thru J and all the variants including Navy and Coast Guard. Those of us flying the C-5 flew all the variations including FSAS, FMS 800, AMP, and RERP as part of the test and production acceptance crews.

By the way you look great!

That would be interesting. I started in 1988 and retired in 2008. F-4s 1990-1992, F-111s 92-97, EAs 97-2000, F-15s 2000-2004.

Just about all of the USAF fighters that had a back or right seat which flew since the late 80's. F-4s, F-111s and F-15s. Also, did a stint with the Navy in the EA-6.
