- Hello everyone... my name is Shalane Scott. I am so excited to find this site and to meet many of you. This part of my life has FINALLY begun to blossom. I am in full-time exploration, and everyday I am able embrace and express myself just a little more.
I am currently in a relationship with a great guy. We have a beautiful home and two adorable doggies. Although we are not certain of what life has in-store for us, we are very happy. I am an avid Runner, which I do 4-5 days a week, and I love to sing and dance.

I recently obtained a Letter of Recommendation for HRT from my Therapist. I also have a new Doctor who has prescribed my pills and is montitoring what is(will be) going on with my body.

What does impotency really mean for me as I Transition?
"Oh, I forgot to mention that once you begin hormone therapy, you will likely become impotent," says my new Endo earlier today. Her (those) words sounded so harsh, and frankly, they scared me.

I am truly blessed to have the support of my wonderful mother!
She said she already knew... when I finally found the courage to tell her truly I am female. She said her love and acceptance is unconditional. She said she lived her life the way she wanted/wants and I should do the same. She said she thought her world would come to an end when she had a son at 17... it didn't, it only got better.

Hello Everyone...
At my next session (two weeks) I will be getting a letter from my Therapist, recommending to my Doctor that I am ready to begin HRT. Yeah!
