IRR transition

I posted this on reddit's "asktransgender" subreddit, but I think since this site and especially this group might be better able answer this question, I figured I'd ask here too:So I'm a reservist on m-day (monthly drilling) status who's regular enlistment ends mid-next year with what is looking to be an honorable discharge, and I'll go into IRR for the two years following. I feel like I am in a cocoon waiting to get on with who I will eventually be. I can't seriously pursue transition yet due to a current contract with a part-time employer which lasts to 2013, which seems forever away, but am slowly trying to present myself more truly as much as I can until then and hope to come out to at least a few people in real life before the end of this year. Outside of gender stuff I'm a very easygoing person who likes to play with technology, try new things, discover new tastes, and really fully explore life and the things in it.
