- I was born in Elizabethtown, Kentucky in 1956 and grew up in the nearby city of Radcliff. After attending high school there I moved to Tacoma in Washington state for better job opportunities. After teaching myself programming I become involved in software development for businesses in the mid 80s. In 1989 I moved to North Carolina and helped found a major internet marketing company. I wrote the core system that drives the company's business model and was for the first 5 years the IT department (today there are over 150 programmers) . In 1997 I moved back to Kentucky for five years. During that time I bought and remodeled a building in the historic part of the town I was living in and opened a sandwich & soup cafe. In 2002 I moved back to Washington state and during that time became a vice-President for the company. Since then I have had a high profile with the company especially since several A-list actors/musicians have joined the company.
On a personal note, I have been married twice and have 3 kids and 4 grandchildren. My spouse passed away in 2010 from lung cancer earlier this year. My older daughter currently lives with me in my home in Tacoma, WA.
In 2007 I made a life-changing discovery about myself and after seeing a gender therapist for several months was diagnosed as transgendered or Gender Identity Disorder. So since early 2008 I have been on a program of physical “change” to “fix” the problem. I have been on hormone therapy since September of 2008 and have as of April 21th of 2009 legally changed my name to Samantha Ellen Ritchie and am scheduled to have my GRS on Sept 6th, 2011.
Relationship-wise I have been single since last year and have not been with or dated anyone yet. I am open to some kind of relationship with that special someone that can make some sense or understand my complicated life. Currently I do not have anyone like that in my life but hopefully someday...
Currently I am writing a book dealing with what I’m going through as a transgendered individual, my spiritual journey and the contribution I’ve made in helping to support a billion dollar corporation.
