In 1974, America sang “This is for all the lonely people”. I was thinking about this song and it occurred to me that trans-people are probably the loneliest people in the world. We sometimes suffer from some kind of mental illness, like depression, and spend most of our lives looking for the reason we're so sad.

Today is Oct 28-09. Yesterday, my wife gave me an ultimatum regarding my gender issues. She has brought our kids (both boys aged 15 & 17) into it and has upset them greatly. She did not explain to them why, but told them she was going to break up the family. Both of them started crying and this started me crying as well. So I told her, she wins. Research done re: children's body image

Yesterday, in my local newspaper, I read an article where research was done on 7 year old boys and girls to see what they thought of their body image.

They were asked if they liked what they saw in the mirror. The results were 7.5% of the boys and 7.9% of the girls said no. Then the article went on to blame the media for kids not liking their bodies, and how girls want to be thin and boys want to be muscular.
