Santa Barbara
Spent a lovely day last week in Santa Barbara, California. My friend Kris and I went to just spend a beautiful day walking the streets and having lunch. We couldn't help but take a few photo's along the water.

- Very pre-op transwoman trying to find her way. Have been in therapy for over 4 years. I will hopefuly start laser and hormones soon. But trying to do what is right for my family, and find how to be me at the same time.
From the age of 4 I wanted to be a girl, after all they got to have long hair and wear pretty dresses. I learned real fast though, boys did not do that and like so many of us, I spent many years trying to repress my feelings.
I worked real hard to be male, and was the person everyone expected me to be, but in the end I wasn't who I wanted to be. I can't hide it or lock it away any more. I am not sure were this road is taking me and thats OK, I don't need to know at the moment. I am learning to be more authentic and true to myself every day. .

It is scary but yet so tender and freeing all at the same time. It makes me feel so emotional at times and so so alive for the first time in my life.
I am like you, trying to find my was as a woman in this world with my job (good now), my family and real, true, emotional and physical love. This is difficult for us I feel. Each day for me is something new and like "freedom comes day by day - till the demons are out of my head". This is what I feel and the closer I get it scares me to think that I can never be who I was bust someone very new and different. But I peservere and I am determined to see this through with an open mind, heart and soul.
