HRT and body hair

I am wondering, since I have had my orchiectomy in 2007, I have been going on four years now with no evil "T" in me. I've noticed probably about a 95% reduction in hair on my back. All other body hair has thinned out and appears lighter - although it probably appears lighter due to it being thinned out, not as in color change. But anyway, I'd say there was a 70% reduction/thinning just from the surgery and having no T in my system (just T that is residual from other glands - but my T levels…See More

100 Words About Me:
I am a preop SRS Intersexed woman on HRT from the Dallas / Ft. Worth area looking to make some new TG / TS friends, networking and supporting each other through our good times and bad times - and the times inbetween.

I underwent an orchiectomy in 2007 and so far almost 4 years "T" free I was fulltime in 2007 and was attending cosmetology school as, Michelle. It was for once, the happiest time of my life, to be free, to be accepted as female and respected as a mature woman. But certain circumstances within my career in the airline business prevented me from further transitioning at that time, so I had to stop for a few years.

I said the hell with everyone and came out to everyone I actually cared about, that mattered to me and am back on the transitioning track. I was so depressed that I couldn't be the real me and had to live a life that I loathed - I slit my wrist and ended up in the hospital on Easter day this year. (2010)

I Have had 100+ hours of electro on my face and just started laser hair removal on my face & neck. As I pray, I ask my God for a smoothand safe transition into a happy life as I do not live in a TS friendly state.

May Jesus Christ bless each and everyone of you in your transition, your lives, your families and all of your endeavours. Amen

Hugs,
Michelle From Dallas

Any advice on how to get rid of 'muscle mass' for us girls girls who used to um... lift weights?

I can not speak for any other trans women but I can surely speak for me. I knew I was a girl when I was five years old.

As I laugh now at this particular memory in my life that got the whole transgender ball rolling - I walked over to my mom who was watching tv. I had a butterknife (lol) in hand, boy part in hthe other hand and told her "mommy, I dont like this can we cut it off" LOL, Seriously, I was in therapy the next day. The year was 1979, and I had just started…

So, my spouse still wants to "see" the old me every now and then.

I try to stay strong every day, but at times it is hard. Example, my spouse just came over to me, hugged me and put her head in my neck and smelled. I was wearing Juicy Couture perfume and she asked me "am I ever going to see (my boy name) again?"

I just started to cry. Because I know that she loves me and accepts me as Michelle, but I know that shes heart broken inside. She said that it is hard because her husband is dying. And it kills me inside that I'm bringing her pain. I…

Dear Michelle, Thanks for sharing words about yourself. We all need to be reminded how vulnerable we are as we struggle with transition.

I have no good advice about occasionally bringing back your guy self to help your wife cope other than let your prayers guide you. Whatever you decide don't let it take you down.

Hugs dear friend, Jenny

Michelle, I am so honoured you took the time to reach out to me. Another Christian friend of mine tried to kill herself earlier this year for the same reason and realized she had to continue on her path as we have discovered. I also was suicidal in July of 2009 but never went through with it, so I have empathy for those that suffer so badly with apparently no hope that life is not worth continuing in their eyes.
God has been merciful to you and I believe we are saved from destruction for the purpose of helping others and that is what I seek to do: help others. I am so glad you are still with us to share your life amoung us.

You are also quite a beauty.

Hugs,
Marsha
