Besides seeing my friends, I also volunteer at a women and trans diy bicycle co-op; I might be this cities only transwoman bike mechanic ... how exciting. I'm sewing my first dress in years (Vogue V8785 A in charcoal) and am excited to get back in front of the machine. I'm a lifelong CD who finally found the courage to transition and I'm loving it. Sure it's not easy and there have been a few tears but I'm happier than I can ever remember and my friends that have made me feel welcome will never be forgotten.
I find the hardest things are finding work as me and finding someone to really connect with LT. But I'm hopeful that these two big issues are short term and look forward to being productive in a mutually caring partnership.

At that time I had said "No, its all ok, these are things my earlier girlfriend forgot", but I'm sure she knows more than she wanted to tell and wanted to hear it from me ...
