"I'd be interested to know how you do with your small town organization. I was thinking of starting up something similar in my own rural, small town area, when someone started a come out, come out, where ever you are type website...a place where…"
"Hi Debra, I discovered that some people were easy to come out to, while others remain steadfast to this day in their determination to avoid the subject. The Human Rights Campaign publishes some helpful guides to coming out for transgenders that I…"
"I'm sorry to hear about your friend's forced purge. We've all been there, and for various reasons, but we all come back to our senses after a while. I, too, used to let the dip-wads of the world dictate my life to me -- but no more!…"
"I agree, Jennifer, as I have more than a few unanswered friend requests myself. If we're here to connect, then let's connect, ok? Networking is very important to our cause; power in numbers and all that.
Hugs and kisses to all,
"I think you have both asked and answered your question(s). It's obvious where your true heart is. If you were seeing a therapist (and I would recommend it), she or he would explain "comfort zones," and how difficult it is for people…"
"What a marvelous story! I love it! It must have exhilarating at times, wandering around on a fine day and not getting clocked, or read. I also know all too well the feeling of having to "change back," oftentimes hastily; the feelings of…"
"Well, Joanna, your story so closely parallels mine it's downright spooky. As I read it, I thought "she definitely has a few pages from my book!" Like you and April, I've always found it easier to relate to females than to males.…"
"Hi Jamie, it's very nice of you to send me a friend request. My spouse and I are very impressed with your story, and I'm sure you have a been a source of inspiration to many who have been teetering on the threshold. As one budding advocate…"
"Hi Joanna, Thanks for the friend request -- I am very pleased that you asked. I haven't read your blogs as of this writing, but I am looking forward to reading them a little later on. If there is anything I can help you with; anything…"

100 Words About Me:
I live in a tiny seaside village famous for seafood and wild ponies. I've been closeted most of my life due to social strictures. I was born looking like a boy, but I've always been a girl. My father tried to beat the girl out of me when I was a child; tried forcing me to be a boy. It didn't work. I left home at an early age to join the circus of life. I am now out and proud whenever possible because I can no longer hold myself hidden. Fortunately, my current life partner (GG) is totally accepting of me. My therapist and I have discussed my living full-time as a woman. She agrees that I am transsexual. I am in the beginning stages of DIY hormone therapy.

Leah, thank you for such kind and thoughtful comment on my page - however, I can not take all the credit. There are many people here at PinkEssence that contribute to its success; from volunteers to people actually sponsoring the site financially - but it is the members like your self that are the magic element to the groups diversity and beauty. So you see, its a groups effort. On behalf of everyone, Welcome to PinkEssence!
I hope we can hook up and say hello the next time I go through the Eastern Shore. I'm always up for meeting new friends part or full time.
I accepted your friend request, don't be a stranger. I often miss a few days in replying but I do try hard to keep up with my mail. I have a lot going on so sometimes mail does have to back seat though...
