Post-Orchi Status Update

Well it's been more than 48 hours since I've had my orchiectomy. Right now, the pain level is very tolerable. I have a hard lump on the right side that I'm unsure what it is, but it does respond to an ice pack so it must be part of the swelling.

Okay, so I got the call from the Urology Case Manager first thing Thursday morning. I ignored it, and let it go to voice mail while I waited to hear back from the Discharge social worker. She was unable to come up with any solutions for me, when I finally got the bright idea to ask some brand new friends I'd just recently made. If that failed, then I've been going to a group at the Family Health Center and I'd try the facilitators and case managers there to help me out.

Orchiectomy Pre-Op (May 10, 2011)

So... yesterday I had my orchi pre-op appointments with the VA. This was a multiple set of appointments. I had to meet with a Nurse Practitioner, Teaching Nurse and Anesthesia technician. At each of the meetings, we sat down and went over my medical history. Only the nurse practitioner took my vitals and input them into my medical records the others simply talked about things with me.
