- I am a happily married trans-female who just wants to be main stream female. I am not interested in the trappings of a sub culture, fashions shows, pseudo girl clique groups and the like. There is nothing wrong with any expression of self so long as it hurts no one including one's self. I just know from experience I do not fit in the transgender cultures I’ve encountered thus far. I am a woman not a gurl and I feel no need to live up to anyone else’s expectations of what I am supposed to be.
My adjustment is on going. I've often exhibited very poor behavior and judgement. I'm not ashamed of that, but very grateful others were not hurt in the process. It has given me understanding that others will go through something similar. However, that does not excuse any bad behavior on my part or on the part of others. Summery: Lets not kill our wounded, but never allow ourselves to get wounded in the process.
I am a member here because this site offers a safe forum for issues we may face and a place where I might help others. Like it or not I was not born female so this makes me a transsexual person who wants to give and get support.
