- I have been married coming up on 29 yrs. I was fortunate in that my spouse in the end stayed with me. As we all know that being TS can be a marriage killer and usually is. I finally accepted who i was in my late twenties, though for me my journey began many yrs earlier in my single digit years. I was fortunate once I began my transition in that I had a job that payed good enough combined with my Navy retirement that I was able to afford GRS. Dr. Brassard performed my surgery. I am very satisfied with the results. I have to say my time in Canada at the recovery home was perhaps both the happiest and sorest in my life, LOL. I would'nt trade my time there for anything in the world. MY friends would tell you that i can be very opinionated at times. Ieven once made an attempt to run for city council. I received enough signiatures to have my name placed on the ballot. The sad part is that once my spouse realized the cost of running for a political office the support to do so rather dried up. So one week as an official candidate in the end is my only claim to fame there. I guess i could ramble on all day on myself but for now i will leave it at what i have said so far :-)
