My friends would say I have a caring heart, I love helping others and, contributing to a group. I thrive, perhaps a bit too much, on the love and respect of others. Intelligent and curious, I love to learn (as long as there isn’t a written test). I tend to be a bit shy but, will try just about anything. I have been cross dressing for as long as I can remember, even as a young child. Cross-dressing and, unfortunately, depression have been constant companions throughout my life. Being from a small town, I don't get to go out often but, when I am out of town I love to dress up and go out shopping, to dinner and see what the nightlife has to offer. Atlanta is my favorite destination. I have been very blessed with a wonderful family and a successful career. The children are all grown now and I am finally to a point in my life that I am able to begin really exploring and understanding my transgender nature. I know that the first step is to learn how to manage my depression and learn how to love myself. The new friends I have made here on Pinkessence have been wonderful part of that first step.

Hi, my name is Juliet. I am having a very difficult time in my life right now and I need some help. I have been cross-dressing all of my life. I have memories of sneaking my mother’s and sister’s clothes when I was 4 or 5 years old. Cross-dressing and depression have been constant companions throughout my life. each of us goes through the beginning of our journey feeling quite alone. With the internet, we have all found many answers to our questions and yet, in many ways, until we finally find the courage to do what we each know we have to do to find our own happiness, (or at least are ready to create a concrete plan to embark upon).I am emotionally ready now and I am closer each day to the day when I will transition. It will be at least another 18 months until I finish paying off a business debt and then I will in a position financially to do what is necessary. What I do know is that I'll be 67 and still won't know what the path will hold for me once I start living according to my true identity. It will be a welcome adventure.
