I try to be supportive of others in our community. I have 30+ years experience as a lawyer and am now a full-time human rights activist and writer.
I am an attorney who has been practicing law for 30+years. I am mtf transgender part-time and have a wonderful wife who is mostly supportive but sometimes confused. I am currently seeing a therapist and taking hormones. I have a lovely wardrobe (one of my friends says I have the best two wardrobes in town). For most of my career I worked in a large, prestigious law firm and for most of the time I enjoyed what I did. I was able to practice in the area of human rights including representing individuals.I have most recently left law practice and am concentrating on writing about international human rights. Right now I am working on a novel and a screenplay. I work at home and am able to dress as I want. I still handle an occasional legal matter "when someone begs me hard enough". I've been missing in action for a long time, I've been completing a novel entitled "Beyond Torture" which is a complex story. A major issue is tolerance and one of the major characters is transgendered. As I have mentioned before I am currently writing a novel about international human rights focusing on the Middle East. I am planing this as part of a series. There are some books I would like to acquire from Amnesty International UK which are not available in the US and Amnesty International UK does not ship outside the UK. ENDA Update

As of today, 143 members of the U.S. House of representative have committed to definitely support the bill including gender diversity and 57 are listed as probable for a total of 200. 218 would be a majority but we want more than a bare majority. If you haven't already done so please check where your representative stands and let us know so we can do a little persuading.

Today is the 32nd anniversary of my wedding to my spouse, life partner and best friend, Susan. We were married in her parent's backyard on the deck overlooking Cedar Lake in Minneapolis.
