And now for a lengthy Bio....
Jaden Rogers is a native of Delaware and holds an Associates Degree in Multimedia Design from the University of Delaware, and a Bachelors’ of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and Photography from Moore College of Art & Design. Jaden currently hails from Philadelphia and is the Director of Advertising and Design for CAA Command Arms and RWC in Philadelphia.
In 2008, Jaden founded 32 Jones, the first LGBTQ gallery in New Jersey. 32 Jones is a public non-profit gallery with the goal of featuring local, national, and international Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, and straight alliance artists under the auspices of Hudson Pride Connections. The gallery serves as a venue to provide support for underrepresented and emerging artists.
Jaden, with the help of Hudson Pride Connections, also founded BLITZ- which initially started as a female-to-male transgender support group. After seeing the group have some issues of longevity and self-existence, he reformulated BLITZ as an independent entity, which is a community group and trans* resource website available at www.blitztrans.org. BLITZ creates a safe space for the exchange of ideas and resources for all people under the trans* “umbrella”- those exploring gender identity, and those that reject the binary construct. This is (to our knowledge) the first fully inclusive, trans*, and gender non-conforming resource website, where the slogan is “You are an Artist of Your Own Creation.”
His work has been displayed throughout New York and North Jersey in galleries such as Lex Leonard Gallery, LITM, Paul Vincent Studios, Cosi Café, Gallery II, and 32 Jones Gallery. Along with gallery representations, Jaden has developed various artworks for the Philadelphia Art Museum, Camel Cigarettes, McGraw Hill Publications, Bank of America, CitySpace, Agent 16, Out in Jersey, CenterLink, and New York, Jersey City, and Asbury Pride. Through this gallery and private commission artwork, Jaden has accumulated awards that include the 2007 Debra Malinics Advertising Award for Graphic Excellence; the 2009 VEER Applied Arts Design & Advertising Annual Award; the 2010 HOW Magazine Logo Design Feature Award and the 2011 ADDY® Advertising Award.
Jaden creates eye-catching works that draw upon his background in illustration, design, and photography, and couples his sketch art with “found objects.” He is constantly evolving as an artist and designer, working with new media and learning new techniques while sticking with the roots of handmade design.
When speaking of Jaden’s artwork, it has been said that “These digital mixed-media works explore the ties between vintage and new wave computer imagery,” as Jaden often utilizes a digital silk screen process to form art from age old items found in thrift stores and dumpsters, that are created anew by the addition his own illustrations, photography/texture, and digital art.
