100 Words About Me:
I’m an older, kinder, bitch-er (not really), straight forward, forthcoming, in a 2nd wind making a true lifestyle choice. It takes to know me well to see that I’m easy, relaxed, caring, grounded, generous, loyal, nurturing, passionate & with a kind outlook about life & people. But, I can easily come across as the opposite.

I’m a strong advocate of the truth, likeable or not.

I’m not here to contest popularity, therefore I will not add anyone if we don't mutually know e/o. People that add me for any other sake than getting to know each other (for real)are not welcomed. If you’re interested & live within driving distance it’s good. I’m willing to respond your correspondence. Just be patient.

I consider myself an ver experienced person at many levels. I've traveled extensively around the world, lived in 5 countries & literally read a quite few books. I’m a scholar & formerly a docent. Had re-invented myself quite successfully a few times. A parent of 2 biological (grown up today) women & a step parent of 2 (grown up today) boys in two different stages in my life & I'm a grand mother. That is do swell & cool! I love my families over anything else in life, then my close friends, followed with all I believe in & I’m passionate about.

I enjoy many physical activities (S. skiing on top) & the outdoors, had competed in running, swimming, biking, car & motorcycle racing.
I'm home bound as well.

Like a few of you, I've struggled, suffered & lost many things in life, but I look at it wisely.

I entered into my 5th year of HRT, went through laser all over my entire body, started living 50/50% in my chosen gender in '04 & went FT for good in '06.
I have no other plans for my near future & live one day at the time.

I’m single & open to a possible committed & grounded relationship. I don't fool around. Never had nor will.

My interests are: people, photography, reading, traveling, art, music live or recorded (listen/play/compose/collect/dance), good flicks, theater, quality food/company/cooking in & out, advocacy/activism/human rights, fashion, languages, antique's restoration/collecting, browsing antique stores/flea markets & many more.

English is not my mother’s language but I’ve lived in the US 30 years. I speak fluent english, spanish & a decent italian & portuguese & I’m still working at french.

I’ve focused my entire life into service & duty & part of it has been gathering knowledge. I’ve been called a geek because for the most part I’ve conducted my life in a very formal style. That is changing as we speak. But I have an excellent sense of humor & can be sharp & witty. I still am I shy but am not asocial, boring, etc, once I know you. But I’m unable/unwilling to do trivia stuff.

In essence I’m a Buddhist, but practice no religious belief & I question many. But I respect any denomination & belief. Politically I can be considered a liberal (I believe in change) but I don’t go alone with either denomination nor are libertarian, anarchist, etc. I believe in people, equal human rights & opportunities for all & I strongly support the idea that there is way to correct the wrong path. I’m anti violence.

I only drink socially & feel turned off by heavy drinking/drugging. My philosophy is based on “A deep respect for life & all it involves” An Albert Schweitzer doctrine.

Feel free to contact me & ask any questions & I welcome anyone that is willing/able to share personal details about their transgendered experience for my in progress book.

Must be psychic or something as I seem to log onto this site (once every month or two) when your birthday is coming up. So I'll have to take this opportunity to wish you a very happy birthday!

A cornerstone has been achieved.

Posted on September 24, 2011 at 10:48am 9 Comments

A major cornerstone has been achieved with the repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" - DADT. The compromise that President Clinton settled for after negotiations to halt expulsion and criminalizing gay and lesbian members of the armed forces in the military in December 21, 1993, has come to an end.

Before Clinton’s compromise, gay and lesbian soldiers were criminally prosecuted, sentenced, jailed and expelled from all the branches in of the military,…

We achieved A Milestone, lets celebrate and continue working toward changes . . .

Don’t ask, don’t tell has been repelled.

No so long ago in the company of several other advocates toward LGBT changes visited our representative, several other counties and their representative and our senator. As well, we never ceased to place calls or sent e-mails to all members of our government that were against consideration and legislation of two particular bills…

Just growing old or growing wiser?

.

This aging thing is one of those that are better left to humor... but getting older is one of the two unavoidable absolutes in life. But who as heck wants to get older? Believe it or not, I was! since my teens all the way to my late 30's. And it wasn’t because I wanted to be wiser. I just never represented my true age. Same I don’t represent - not even today, but it’s getting closer and closer as I…

What is sexy, feminine and nice to look at?

Note: inspired by one of us at PE.

.

For the sake of writing a light blog, I decided to invite you to talk about something that has been the talk (at least inside our heads) for the longest time. I suppose you all had browsed a group or several to see the images that many of us had created over a period of time. Am sure you’ve found many fantastic depictions of sexy and…

The Grand Quest. 2/2

The Grand Quest.

.

We are talking about life and all that logic that at some point, reveal that in reality we are reluctant so see the truth in each of us. Therefore we are caught and react the wrong way: defensively. I can’t tell others that this or that is not what they think or what reality is. Almost everyone prefers to stick to their "truth" and such has been and is "manufactured" among us, by us. It seems to legitimize the natural…
