- 100 Words About Me:
- I am a 57 year old M-F transgender woman who has been on hormones for over 5 years now. I'm under the care of my doctor, endocronologist and counsellor who have all approved for me to take the next step. Unfortunately my financial situation has precluded me taking the next step of going fulltime and ultimately looking at gender reassignment surgery.
I have spent some time researching surgery options but all require travel overseas. During the past 5 years I've had my ups & downs especially the acceptance of my need to become "me" by my family. I have 3 adult children and they do not understand why I would want to be female. I know clearly that's where I need to be. In the meantime I continue to take my meds and have electrolysis as I can afford it.
