100 Words About Me:
I'm a fully transitioned woman. I'm so off the reservation I'm ambivalent about how 'ts' I am anymore.

I'm a semi-retired lawyer. My interests are foreign languages, travel, 'intellectual' stuff, men, music, dancing, theatre... stuff like that, in no particular order. I am well-traveled, looking to travel a lot more with an appropriate person. Ideally, he'll be fit, taller and older than I, financially comfortable, generous, who really loves women.

And my favorite color is pink!

* * *

A number of girls here have written me very warm welcoming comments. Thank you!

It's a bit overwhelming when one joins a group like this. The welcoming is so wonderful but I find it difficult to respond to each and every person individually so I hope no one will be offended that I just thank you here collectively.

I don't know how active I will be posting on various topics. I've been on 'boards' like this for many years and I'm kind of tuckered-out. I have strong opinions about most everything and to be frank, I'm tired of hearing myself talk! These days I'd rather listen to others. If there's something I can add to help out, I'll chime-in, but for the most part I'll probably be lurking attentively.

I see that I already know some of the girls here. We're good friends, so I know I'm in a good place.

* * *

A bit more about me. I'm seven+ years post-op and it's been great. I spent most of my life as a wannabe, never dreaming I could really do it (transition, that is) but it did and I've been very fortunate. I feel part of a wonderfully large extended family. I agree that we are gender gifted.

I'm neither totally stealth nor completely out. I kind of flit between the two. I choose, kind of playing it by ear each time.

Lynn Conway posted my bioessay on her TS Women's Successes (Gallery p. 2.) Quite a few people have stumbled across it and emailed me. It's been great.

My life really changed five years ago when I was part of the first all-ts cast of "Vagina Monologues" in LA. That's when I realized what a ham I am. Last year I was wrote and performed an original monologue for "Trans Sister Tales," also in LA. This year I was interviewed and filmed for a documentary about women in the sex industry (it was just phone sex!)

It came as a total shock that as I got more in touch with my femme self my sexual orientation shifted from women to men. That was a 180 from my early years. It's somewhat true that transition doesn't really start until after surgery - and I've had one or two!

Pic dilemma

This is my first blog here... what to write about...??

I was just reading the blogs of a lovely young woman here. In one of them was a link to a 'before' pic, so I looked.

I was recently filmed for a documentary about women in the sex industry (I've done phone sex.) When the director asked me for an old male-bodied pic, I wrote to her:

"The pix thing comes up a lot. Everyone wants to see the 'before.' It's an issue with all the tv shows. Oprah is one of our… Read More

Debra. Thanks for the feed back. I did have a great time. Also there was a second one in June in Atlanta as at least 60 of my class mates live in the area. It was a cocktail party at one of the country clubs thus a dressy affair. I wore a black sheath dress with black heels and silver jewelry. The conversation was more along the lines of retirement, grand kids and what we were doing now rather than how I was dressed. It was also a great evening. The big 50 is in 2011.

Hi Debra,
Thanks a lot for your kind French words. I suppose you are francophone. anyway, let me congratulate you about these so marvellous results of your transition. I am beginning my transition and hope to succeed like you.
Big hugs from Paris via Thailand where I am on vacation.
