Well, this shouldn't take long. I just want to make an observation; WHY do people come in and blog about where they are at and want to know what any/everyone thinks about their situation, BUT! (and isn't there always caveat in there someplace?)...........
The only people that can get to whomsoever are usually (but not always) in the same boat and often have no idea what comes next or how to get there. So if that's the case, what's the point of posting? If you do it just to vent…

It dawns on me, as my week wraps up, I make invoices for the photo work I did this week, and wonder where I am going to get my scooter fixed, that I missed the second anniversary of my new (to me) kidney. Much like a used car, you always hope you get a good one, it will last a while, and it won't cause too many problems. Well.......usually.…

Yesterday I 'celebrated' the six-year anniversary of my having almost died and becoming a dialysis patient, a pair of life changing events if there ever were any. And stuff like that makes me reflect back on my 'greatest hits & bloopers moments'. I'd like to share a few of them here.
I transitioned while I was the manager at the busiest Meineke Muffler in Maine; one of the most highly rated in New England. I'm still proud of that. One day, some years after I was outed and…

Haven't been around for a week or so......was getting ready for our radio station' s semi-annual fundraiser. WMPG in Portland Maine is a Community Radio Station, a non-profit, and gets its funding from contributions and pledges. I am telling you this because with today's technology a broadcast in Portland, Maine can be heard in Kalamazoo, Anchorage Alaska, Paris France and Timbuktu via www.wmpg.org.
Some of you know that…

Andie James said… Good morning Daralyn. Thank so much. Everytime I hear an 'old timer's' story it makes me feel less and less alone. I am not out to my doc, yet. Working on it. I will probably gp tp the V.A. when that happens. They have already told me my testosterone level are barely readable so maybe that will help...
I love TS Roadmap! I have read some great things there. I will be taking my time, I've waited this long, but when I decide to transition, I am sure iI wil be impatient.
I have always hated shaving! When I first had to, I prayed, literally, that God would make it so I wouldn't have to. And a few years back, a friend sent me to woman she went to for electrolysis and was told sh ecould have me 'beard free' in a short time.
I have always hoped for the best in life and perpared for the worst and I am trying to apply that to this. That seems to get in the way of transition too, if I wasn't so scared of the 'worst', losing family, then I would probably have done this alonggggg time ago. But, keep hoping for the best is what I am doing. Once I have a plan, then I will move forward.
Take care and lets keep in touch.

Kimberly Marie said… Thank you for the welcome Daralyn. I am looking forward to connecting with people on here. I'm just a bit shy and don't get to use the computer much, so I'm a little slower at making friends online.
I do have one support group I see here, but am looking to join another that may be better suited for me. As for the hormones, yeah, I didn't plan on doing "self-medicating" as I wouldn't trust the results. And I have enough problems with reactions to meds, that I'd probably put myself in hospital. I'm just waiting for the appointment with the doctor to work out a regiment.
I'm also changing the profile selection, as I really fit between the "Experimenting Transgender" & "Awakening Transsexual", but since I hadn't started hormones yet, I picked the 1st option. Course, I may need to wait a bit longer depending on what the doctor says, but I'm hopeful to start soon.
