Electrology 101

Went for my first electrology appointment today. Two 1 hour long sessions. She went after grey hairs around the cheek and chin area. She uses the blend method. I've run across some other descriptions where people describe it as medieval torture. It wasn't bad at all. I think I also chattered a ton the second session, and at some point said, "I don't know what the hell you're doing!" Basically I wasn't really feeling anything cause I was yakking on and on. Well, no talk about fear this time. I also started on laser sessions to get rid of the beard ... yay!
I'm feeling in this surreal space for the time being. Kind of empty headed, kind of going clickity-clack down the railroad track as I think of things I need to move closer to transition.
As I said, started on the laser stuff. Today at therapy we talked about hormones ... and I'm going to start taking them. My therapist needs to write up the "letter". …

I think it was almost a week and a half ago I went to my second dose of therapy. Kind of funny and interesting. All I seemed to talk about in various and assorted ways was fear. Fear this and fear that. Of course, I know it's there, but talking things out and listening to myself it hit me all the harder. It was good. I'm beginning to realize the hurdles a little better, and also some of my exaggerated ideas of what I think might happen. Time to take a few steps I think.
