Hi!
Love your site!
Today I spoke at the (1st) hearing in the Tampa City Council- for proposed Legislation- providing for Domestic Partner Registration. Approximately 3 dozen people spoke for the issue. All were for the idea. The council was very impressed that Tampa was so progressive- (no opposition)
I would like to recommend that the next time you tweek your wonderful site, you might consider a section for news events concerning our community.
Go Tampa!
i wasn't originally, but i certainly would. :)
I loved the ABC Primetime Special with your family. It made me feel really good.
Sarah
Hi chloe, do you think maybe we could add a transguy or two into the header on the site? just a question. no offense meant, but i know it would make me feel great.
Hi Chloe, thanks for creating such a wonderful community here where people can support each other and there is room for all! I was introduced to you and your really special family on the Anderson show also. I was a bit annoyed at some of the attempts to fit you two into that hetero-style, if you will, partnership but I understand. You are so beautiful inside and out! My partner and I both watched and knows I signed up. I am praying she will come also and feel acceptance rather than fears of rejection. YOU make that possible each day. God bless!
Katie
hi, and thank you, you are an inspiration
Hi, just wanted to send you a note. My daughter and I watched you and your family on Anderson, and I thought you did wonderfully! Hope it was a positive experience for everyone. I didn't like that they kept calling you two "husband" and "wife" but that's TV. Bottom line, congratulations and thank you for sharing your story!
Chloe, Thank you so much for a site like this. And to all the brave men and women who come and support the site. I watched your "Growing up with 2 Moms" clip and was deeply moved. You made the statement that when you transition everyone else transitions with you, whether they want too or not. And that speaks so true. I've used the anaolgy in my own life with friends, family and my client base (i'm a cosmetologist). That so many times when a relationship ends one of the partners had checked out emotionally long before the physical break. And for me emotionally I transitioned long ago and it wasn't until the physical started to change that I have to now help everyone around me get to where I'm at...It's been an amazing time in my life and I'm blessed to be surrounded by the people that I am. So thanx again for creating this place so that we can continue to surround ourselves with support. Happy transitions...Kai
ty :)
I was reading about you hitting 5000 members and I thought to myself that's cool, then I see the little PE e-mail button and check out my e-mails for the first time and there's an e-mail from you at 2am saying btw you're the 5000th member! I am honored to be on here- I've seen some of your work and think you deserve a pat on the back or at least a cyber hug which I can do right now ((((())))) Thank you for all that you do for the Trans community! Love Stacie.
Chloe, thanks so much for the contact add.
I hope your 2012 is going well so far and you and your family are well!

Thanks Chloe....
Its nice to know i am not the only one who has this condition.....Sadly i had to wait so long before doing this.....
Thank you Chloe
Hi Chloe! I just wanted to clarify a couple of things. I probably should've responded to you in private earlier, but I tend to act, sometimes before reading all of the options. Plus, I'm always doing two or more things at once. Plus, I'm so excited to be here.
I was in a wheelchair, as a child, for 3 years and 8 months. I was told I would never walk again. I had been run over by a car, and was initially pronounced legally dead. Since that time, I have been pronounced legally dead 4 more times.
I have been in 57 tornadoes, 5 hurricanes, 4 earthquakes, 2 mudslides, 2 snow avalanches, 3 forest fires, 19 fatality car accidents, (where I wasn't driving), 2 ski-boat accidents, 1 pontoon boat accident, and 4 minor plane crashes. So I cherish life. And I never give up. Ever.
When I make a commitment, I fulfill it. I was told I would never walk, yet I do, etc. I've achieved every goal that I've set out to accomplish. Not always in the timeline that I planned, but I still did it.
I think success comes not only from commitment, but action, and belief. I believe I can make a difference for all of us, as far as equality, and basically, fairness in society.
I have the tools, the contacts, and the determination.
I am new here, and I've been blogging so much, because I'm still learning. How can I learn without communicating? I believe there are no absolutes. So I have to inquire, and learn, and grow.
I really appreciate the responses I've gotten from my blogs, but I have to do more. And I can't, until I understand as many perspectives as possible.
That's why I love this site. It's full of people like me, that have questions, and knowledge. I love this site!
I belonged to another site, on a adult dating site for a couple of years. I quit recently because my agent said it could be detrimental to belong to an "adult" dating site, if I wished to be accepted by the overall society. I think he's right. So I left, even though all I did there was blog, and never dated, or "prospected" dates.
But while there, I had heard of Pink Essence. So asked if anyone had heard about it. The leader of that group told me that it was a site of "stuffy" girls,
It wasn't until I joined here, I realized what she meant.
This is a site of decency. It's not a site of "trying to get laid". This is the site I wish I could've known about since my initial "growth" start 4 years ago. I really wish I'd have come here first. Some of the girls there, were only focused on "hooking up". Don't get me wrong there are a lot of amazing girls there too. But this is the format I was seeking.
My goal, since "coming out" has been to make it easier for ALL of us to be accepted in society. This has never been about me. That was simple. I found it rather easy to become who I'm supposed to be, "Amanda". Even here in Nebraska, I've basically run into no problems.
I'm truly honored that my blogs were even read. I was so afraid that, as a "Newbie", I'd be labeled as "Not Knowing". But the ladies here have been so amazing! I truly wish I'd have joined years ago.
There aren't a lot of us in Nebraska. And some of the few that are here, are sadly prostitutes, or simply only interested in sex. So the internet is my main connection with others like me.
I just wanted you to know how grateful I am, finally, to have joined this site. This is going to make my goals easier, and quicker.
I didn't know how to send this to you "personally" so I hope this isn't out of line.
I'm so happy! I love this site!
Thank you Chloe!-Hugs!-Amanda-
Thank you for the welcome!
Hi Chloe, thanks for the welcome note. I watched your video and, although it brought tears to my eyes, it helps me, knowing that there are many others who are or have gone through many of the same struggles and heartbreak that I am. HUGS
