- I have been out full time for the last four years and on HRT for three years and 9 months.At this time the situation between my wife and I ( we are good friends)is to stay together for many different reason. Living full time has had its ups and downs but I would never go back to where I was. My children both grown and married do not want me around their families, I believe that is their loss. I do have the luxury of my son talking to me on the phone, however my daughter will only texts me an that's fine, I know things could be worse. I have a good group of friend that I can depend on when I need to talk along with my therapist. The major hold up on surgery is the fact I had an open heart operation in September 2006. But I feel everything will work out. I have been enjoying life and I am much more at peace with myself.. I lecture in a local college during the semester in there human sexuality classes, which is I find just fantastic. I love to bike, play tennis and golf, enjoy the theater, books, art and just being myself. I am an avid photographer,always have camera with me and just did my first wedding. I realize it has been a blessing that transitioning has come as a natural process for me. Weather? Well, Spring appears to be creeping in after the coldest and snowiest New Jersey Winter in my 26 years livng here. I also fouind transitioning, or maybe better put, living in my true gender very easy and natural and according to those who know me well, it seems illogical I was ever anything but female, and of course I agree.
It's encouiraging to see you are allowed to lecture at a college and I hope other avenues also open for you to speak about human sexuality and maybe gender. One of the amusing things I have found within the transcommunity is the reluctance we have to admit we enjoy sex, and I readily admit I enjoy sex in my true gender, well at least as far as I can appreciate it in my present condition.
