Hubby needed a quadruple bypass and 2 Atrio-Septal Defects(holes in his heart, congenital) closed. The ASD's he'd been born with, the blockages had many possible causes including long term high dose hydrocortizone treatment and a Southern diet. Hard to say which one is worse, but according to his cardiologist he should already have "Expired".

Lots of stuff going on since I last posted.



First, Hubby's surgery is scheduled for Oct 16th. Quadruple bypass and close 2 ASDs(Holes in the heart). Pretty scary stuff, but we've known that was coming up for a while now. It was actually supposed to happen back in June but there was a little issue that got in the way...

So Thursday Hubby had a catheterization to get better diagnostics before surgery to repair  a congenital Atrio-Septal Defect(Hole in his heart). That was planned on, I wasn't expecting anything dramatic or anything, so it was a bit of a shock to learn that in addition he requires a quadruple bypass.
