I am one year post opt and after passing a year in Pakistan I decided to go for FFS as the standard of acceptability in Pakistan are much more higher than any other country and the face is the main gender marker of what else is under the clothes. Any how I searched for FFS and have some suggestions to share. I shall have my FFS tomarrow with Dr. Charan in Bangkok. Go to google to know about him. He is among the top of Maxiofacial  surgeons in Thailand but do not have any website as he do not like to have beautiful websites giving false impression of before and after results which can be the expert camera not the doctor. I have some thing to share.

1- Do not just believe the photo results given on the websites as the photo shop and good camera techniques can do a lot to beautify and faminize the actual FFS results.

2- Send your photo for evaluation to as many doctors as you can and see what are the common areas indicated by majority of doctors and go for FFS for that area if the budget is tight and  which is in more cases is out of budget. Most doctors are like sales men and they may point out also those areas which are not necessarily required so go for the common FFS indicators by majority doctors.

3- Faminization cannot make a person beautiful or being faminized does not mean beautiful. There can be very beautiful men and there can be ugly women. Faminization surgery makes us look like a female by changin the bong countrour. Beauty is symmetry, flawless and smooth skin which a man can also have.

Has anyone thought of setting up listings of surgeons who do FFS and other prcedures from transgender with the lists being organized by state, region, etc?

I have just set up a flickr site for gurls who want to post before and after FFS pictures. These can be with or without make up, presenting either way. Dr Peter Raphael in Dallas. I had trachea shave, upper lip lift, chin reduction, brow burring with lift & scalp advance. He & staff were super, he has a large TG clients base, as well as GGs. I'd recommend him to anyone also prices are very reasonable. I have more I want to do, but have to work as a "man". Hope to do a bit more each year.

Silver did my trachea shave and we're planning on doing some other FFS work when the $$$ comes back in. Klein did my BA. They don't advertise as being "TG-friendly" but they have numerous tranz clients.
