I echo Randi's comments.  I had FFS with Dr. Di Maggio in March 2012 and achieved everything I'd hoped for.  I can only pass as a woman now.  I found his demeanor very accommodating.  I never felt that he was talking down to me.  In fact, I'm in Argentina as I write this.  I'm back for a revision to my sinus.  I had underlying sinus issues before FFS that became magnified after FFS.  He is taking care of it.  He has switched from using Florida Hospital to Adventist Hospital.  Since I wasn't awake during the procedure, I can't really comment on the adequacy of the infrastructure.

Not only is he an excellent FFS surgeon, he is also world renowned for his trauma work.  The day before my revision he was piecing back together someone's face that was involved in an auto accident.  He has done thousands (not just hundreds) of facial reconstructions.  He strives to bring out each FFS patient's feminine beauty and does NOT take the cookie-cutter approach.  I'm very please and would highly recommend him.

Christine.  This is very disturbing.  And if true bothersome.

I can tell you from personal experience, and I have a detailed medical background, that from my own surgery in the hospital and the surgical suite that this was not true.   I am not saying that this wasn't true at one time, and I can not speak to your email from Dr. Di Maggio, but only to my personal in-hospital experience.  I do know that the Doctor has upgraded his hospital options and is always searching for new and better options.  My personal experience is that the operating was not dangerous, and in fact unlike other FFS surgeons there are almost no reports of problems in the surgical suite.   Let everyone be aware that this is elective surgery and surgery is inherently dangerous.  However my decision to go to Buenos Aires was partly to avoid the problems that were reported by patients with FFS surgeons in Boston, Chicago and San Francisco.  And I found no issues from over 200 Di Maggio patients, and I myself had a great and safe experience.

On a personal note, and from my heart...I had FFS with Dr. Di Maggio in Buenos Aires 3 1/2 years ago. A wonderful life changing experience. I have been encouraging him to attend SCC for 3 years now and he finally said yes!!! If you have a genuine interest in FFS please take time to schedule time with him. His results are outstanding and pricing amazing. Received this email last night. posting for the group to see. thank you.

Dr. Marcelo Di Maggio, famous plastic & aesthetic craniofacial surgeon, expert in facial feminization surgery from Buenos Aires is coming to the U.S. for the SCC, Southern Comfort Conference in Atlanta, September 4 - 8, 2013 for the very first time.

Dr. Di Maggio will be providing free no-obligation consultations and surgical estimates in his SCC Atlanta hotel suite. Additionally, any patient prospect who sees Dr. Di Maggio in Atlanta for a SCC consultation will be eligible for special promotional pricing even lower than the great value already provided in Argentina.

If you are not registered for SCC, Dr. Di Maggio encourages you do do so. Registered attendees will be able to spend time with him and his lovely wife (neurosurgeon & craniofacial surgeon, part of his team) at meal functions and you will be able to attend his educational presentation on Saturday morning September 7, 2013 where you can learn about the differences between the male and female face and the variety of different techniques that can be employed to provide a more feminine appearance. You will also have the opportunity to see more fabulous results the Doctor and his team have helped deliver.

Consultation slots are going fast. If you are interested in meeting with the Doctor in Atlanta please reply as soon as possible so we may schedule you accordingly. This is a rare opportunity for a face-to-face consultation with Dr. Di Maggio without having to fly to Buenos Aires. We would strongly encourage you take advantage of this chance to meet with him if you have a genuine interest in FFS or any other feminization surgeries.

Also coming soon, Dr. Di Maggio's new website. We will contact you with that information when the website is ready for action.

Thank you for your interest in Dr. Di Maggio. We look forward to hearing from you and assisting you in your feminine journey.

"Reflecting your inner beauty for all the world to see.”

I am one year post opt and after passing a year in Pakistan I decided to go for FFS as the standard of acceptability in Pakistan are much more higher than any other country and the face is the main gender marker of what else is under the clothes. Any how I searched for FFS and have some suggestions to share. I shall have my FFS tomarrow with Dr. Charan in Bangkok. Go to google to know about him. He is among the top of Maxiofacial  surgeons in Thailand but do not have any website as he do not like to have beautiful websites giving false impression of before and after results which can be the expert camera not the doctor. I have some thing to share.

1- Do not just believe the photo results given on the websites as the photo shop and good camera techniques can do a lot to beautify and faminize the actual FFS results.

2- Send your photo for evaluation to as many doctors as you can and see what are the common areas indicated by majority of doctors and go for FFS for that area if the budget is tight and  which is in more cases is out of budget. Most doctors are like sales men and they may point out also those areas which are not necessarily required so go for the common FFS indicators by majority doctors.

3- Faminization cannot make a person beautiful or being faminized does not mean beautiful. There can be very beautiful men and there can be ugly women. Faminization surgery makes us look like a female by changin the bong countrour. Beauty is symmetry, flawless and smooth skin which a man can also have.

I think you would like what I said. If any question do ask.

I have just set up a flickr site for gurls who want to post before and after FFS pictures. These can be with or without make up, presenting either way. If you don't have a flickr account please create a free one, if you do you will have to add the site as a contact and I will accept you as a friend so you can see the pictures posted. They will not be available to the general public. I have posted 3 before and afters for your viewing. website is:

Dr Peter Raphael in Dallas. I had trachea shave, upper lip lift, chin reduction, brow burring with lift & scalp advance. He & staff were super, he has a large TG clients base, as well as GGs. I'd recommend him to anyone also prices are very reasonable. I have more I want to do, but have to work as a "man". Hope to do a bit more each year.
