If you have ever been to a conference before, and felt like just another number among the other 1000+ people there, then you will want to consider Boston's FIRST EVENT.
2 years ago, I [Chloe] attended FIRST EVENT that is produced by TCNE.org (The Tiffany Club of New England) and I have to say, I had THEE BEST time ever at any conference I have ever attended.
PINKessence actually has a FIRST EVENT and TCNE "GROUP" built in to our site HERE
TCNE has also generously endorsed PINKessence as a partner and has helped to support our site through its membership donation selection. So we have them to thank for helping to make a part of PE what it is today.
FIRST EVENT (in my opinion) should be considered by all TG's as their FIRST conference to go to. That is because the event is more cosy. You will be greeted and seen by MORE people and feel like family. You WILL have fun - the events and work shops are facilitated in a professional manor.
FIRST EVENT is hosted in the wonderful Boston Marriott Peabody Hotel. Rooms are conformable and priced very reasonable. Their dinning areas serve great tasting food that is also reasonably priced, comparably to other TG conference locations.
Boston is also home base for the world famous Jamie Austin of Austin's Angles - A pro makeup artist and photographer that transforms TG's into models and takes glamor shots for them.
The conference this year promises to address more of the needs of people considering Transition, as well. Work shops will have professionals and many different trans activist speaking on the issues and challenges that we face, as well as the challenges our families and employers may face.
I will be attending FIRST EVENT this year representing my new employer Dr Kathy Rumer - a Plastics and Reconstructive Surgeon who specializes in ALL aspects of Male-to-Female and Female-to-Male Transgender surgery. As Director of Operations and Patient Liaison for Out Reach and Support, I will be there to help answer questions and schedule consultations at the conference for anyone that wishes to be seen by Dr Rumer.
Don't miss out on one of the BEST conferences of the year - FIRST EVENT!
See you there :)
